Penny for your Tires?

It's that time of year again. Time to switch back to your summer/all season tires, but before you break out the jack & stands, you should take a closer look. The Ministry of Transportation requires a minimum 1.5mm of tread depth for street use. Now there is a problem... What do I measure tread depth with? The best tool is a tread depth gauge. You can find one at your local dealer, or any auto parts store. But if your budget is tight, there is a one cent solution.
Grab a penny, & with the queen, or old Abe facing you head down, if the top of their head is visible above the tread, then time for some new rubber. If the forehead covered the tire is OK, & up to the nose is brand new. The picture is a brand new tire. For more info checkout our friends over at the Honda Techxpert.
